Turk Loydu’s Authorization Scope Extended and Renewed by Turkey

Turk Loydu’s Authorization on behalf of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication Scope for the survey and certification activities on Turkish flagged ships was extended and renewed.

An authorization protocol was signed between Turk Loydu and Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication on 18.10.2017 within the scope of "Regulation on Recognised Organizations" which was published in the Official Gazette numbered 29952. In accordance with the protocol, new authorizations have been granted by the Ministry in addition to the existing authorizations of Turk Loydu and now Turk Loydu has been authorized to conduct surveys and issue all statutory surveys to Turkish flagged ships. The authorization protocol, renewed and expanded in scope, was realized with the signing ceremony held on 18.10.2017 in the Ministry of Transport, Maritime and Communications with participation by Deputy Undersecretary Mr Ahmet Selcuk Sert, Head of Ship Inspection Department Mr Yılmaz Taşçı, Turk Loydu Foundation Chairman Mr. Cem Melikoglu, Deputy Vice Chairman Mr Atilla Çiftçigüzeli, Member of the Board Gürsal Gürçay and General Manager of Turk Loydu Conformity Assessment Corporation Mr Alper Eralp. It is stated that Türk Loydu has been authorized to carry out surveys on Turkish flagged vessels under the SOLAS Convention for Safety Construction, Safety Equipment and Safety Radio Certificates within the scope of renewed authorization delegation protocol.

Turk Loydu Foundation Chairman Mr. Cem Melikoglu made a statement and claims that Türk Loydu's high quality of service and the competence of surveying and certification in accordance with international requirements, is a result of trust in Turk Loydu stated that they are thankful to Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication Ahmet Arslan, Undersecretary Suat Hayri Aka and all bureaucrats and officers who have valuable contributions during the authorization period.
