President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and Chief of General Staff Yaşar Gürel attended the ceremony of the third MİLGEM corvette to be produced for Pakistan.

TCG Istanbul will be handed over to the Naval Forces Command after the completion of the port and cruise acceptance tests. Türk Loydu provided plan approval services for Ada class corvettes delivered to the Naval Forces Command within the scope of the MİLGEM Project carried out to increase Turkey's power in the seas. The first four Ada-class ships were named TCG Heybeliada, TCG Büyükada, TCG Burgazada and TCG Kınalıada.

The National Frigate TCG Istanbul, which will be 10 meters longer than the Ada-class corvettes, stands out with its more advanced systems and defense capabilities, effective weapons and high navigational characteristics.
