MLC Enquiry
MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) inquiry is the process of assessing compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention established by the International Labour Organization (ILO), which regulates the working and living conditions of ship crews. This process aims to protect seafarers' rights such as health, safety, accommodation, food, wages, social security and working hours. During MLC inspections, elements such as the ship's working conditions, personnel contracts, medical support, rest periods and social facilities are examined in detail. By securing seafarers' welfare and workers' rights, the MLC inquiry contributes to the establishment of fair and humane standards in the maritime industry.
