Service Supplier Approval Certification
As Türk Loydu, we issue a "Certificate of Approval for Service Supplier" after evaluating the qualifications of service supplier companies that aim to provide inspection, testing, and control services, deemed necessary during the execution of classification and inspection services of Türk Loydu, in accordance with Türk Loydu rules and international standards.
The relevant certificate is valid for three years. Before the three-year period expires, service supplier companies must apply to Türk Loydu for renewal.
The scope of the certification includes the following topics:
- Firms engaged in Thickness measurements on ships
- Firms engaged in In-water survey of ships and mobile offshore units
- Firms engaged in inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishing equipment and systems
- Firms engaged in inspections and testing of radio communication equipment
- Firms engaged in performance testing and maintenance of automatic identification systems (AIS)
- Firms engaged in tightness testing of closing appliances such as hatches, doors etc. with ultrasonic equipment
- Firms engaged in inspections and maintenance of self-contained breathing apparatus
- Firms engaged in annual performance testing of voyage data recorders (VDR) and Simplified voyage data recorders (S-VDR)
- Firms engaged in examination of Ro-Ro ship’s bow, stern, side and inner doors
- Firms engaged in low location lighting systems using photo luminescent materials and evacuation guidance systems used as an alternative to low-location lighting systems
- Firms engaged in sound pressure level measurements of public address and general alarm systems on board ships
- Firms engaged in servicing inflatable life rafts, inflatable lifejackets, hydrostatic release units, inflatable rescue boats, marine evacuation systems
- Firms engaged in maintenance of Lifeboats, Launching Appliances on Load Release Gear and Davit- Launched Life rafts Automatic Release Hooks
- Firms engaged in measurements of Noise level Onboard Ships
- Firms engaged in tightness testing of primary and secondary barriers of gas carriers with membrane cargo containment systems for vessels in service
- Firms engaged in testing of coating systems in accordance with IMO resolution MSC.215(82) as amended and IACS UI SC223 and/or MSC.288(87) as amended
- Firms engaged in survey using Remote Inspection Techniques (RIT) as an alternative means for Close-up Survey of the structure of ships and mobile offshore units
- Firms engaged in visual and/or sampling checks and preparation of Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM)
- Firms engaged in NDT services on ship and offshore structures/components subject to classification
- Firms Engaged In Watertight Cable Transit Seal Systems Inspection On Ships And Mobile Offshore Units
- Firms Engaged In Commissioning Testing Of Ballast Water Management System (BWMS)
The following key steps are followed during the certification process:
• Quality management system audit
• Verification of requirements related to service content
• Review of previous experiences and demo survey
Approved service suppliers are added to the Türk Loydu website in the "Türk Loydu Approved Service Supplier List".
To obtain Türk Loydu Service Supplier Approval Certification, companies are required to fill out the application form and email it, along with a signature and stamp, to the provided email address.
