About Us
Türk Loydu was established in 1962 as an independent and impartial classification and conformity assessment body to serve Turkey's maritime sector. Today, it provides services at an international level across various sectors, including maritime, energy, defense, and industry, guided by the principles of technical competence, impartiality, and integrity.
Since 2017, Türk Loydu UDH A.Ş. has been operating as a joint-stock company. Founded by the Türk Loydu Foundation, it is fully owned by the Foundation and today serves as a Classification and Conformity Assessment organization that is also a member of IACS.
Türk Loydu UDH A.Ş. became a full member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) on November 1, 2023. Through this membership, Türk Loydu has further strengthened its technical competence and reputation in the global maritime sector while enhancing its international presence. This significant step also provides Türk Loydu with the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of international maritime standards through its work within IACS.
In line with its commitment to sustainability and digitalization, Türk Loydu closely follows technological advancements and integrates innovation-driven R&D activities into its processes to keep pace with sectoral developments.
With its international representatives, expanding areas of activity, and innovative approaches, Türk Loydu continues to produce solutions that comply with international standards and remains determined to contribute to the future of the industry as an independent, impartial, reliable, and expert organization.
Türk Loydu Foundation also carries out important activities within the scope of scholarships, training, publications and research. To date, scholarships have been granted to many students, internal and external sectoral trainings have been organized, various publications have been supported and publications have been made, and many R&D projects have been carried out within the organization and externally.
